Custom Design Process

Britta accepts custom design commissions with people seeking a similar design sense and aesthetic to her collection and inspiration. All Britta's work is hand-fabricated starting from a flat sheet of metal or wire and through heat, hammer, and hand-tools she forms the metal to what you see. All the stock metal is 100% recycled from a refiner in VA who is committed to safe and responsible environmental practices. Britta has many conflict-free and recycled gems to stir the imagination but also works with client gems upon inspection of durability, and also offers recycled or fair-trade gems. Her custom work starts at $1,500 whether it be a custom redesign using client metal & stones or a completely new custom ring. At the initial design consultation Britta will sketch design options discussed and report back with an estimated quote via email. Once the final design is finalized, a 50% down payment is required to get the order started with the remaining balance due once the piece is completed. Since each piece is made by hand, custom design pieces typically take 8-10 weeks to create depending on the season and are not returnable.
